Redmi 15C 4G was introduced in some global regions on Thursday. It is the next version of the Redmi 14C, which was released in August 2024. This phone features a 6.9-inch HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It operates on a MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor and can have up to 8GB of RAM. The device includes a dual rear camera system, led by a 50-megapixel camera. Additionally, it has an IP64 rating for resistance to dust and water splashes. The phone is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging. The starting price for the Redmi 15C 4G is $179 (approximately Rs. 15,800) for the version with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. It is available in different configurations, such as 4GB + 256GB and 6GB + 128GB. The highest-end version, featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, costs $229 (around Rs. 20,200). Consumers can choose from colors like Moonlight Blue, Midnight Black, Mint Green, and Twilight Orange. Redmi has not yet shared any details about bringing this phone to India.
The dual SIM (Nano + Nano) Redmi 15C 4G operates on HyperOS 2, which is based on Android 15. It has a 6.9-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 810nits (HBM), and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The screen meets TUV Rheinland's Low Blue Light, Circadian Friendly, and Flicker Free standards. The device runs on an octa-core MediaTek Helio G81-Ultra processor, available with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. It includes multiple AI features, such as Circle to Search and Gemini. For photography, the Redmi 15C 4G has a dual rear camera setup that includes a main 50-megapixel camera with a 5P lens and an f/1.8 aperture, along with an additional lens. For selfies, there is an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The camera system offers features like Ultra HD mode, Portrait mode, Selfie beauty mode, and more.
For connectivity, the Redmi 15C 4G includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, 4G LTE, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a USB Type-C port. For security, it has a fingerprint sensor on the side and supports AI Face Unlock. The device is powered by a 6,000mAh battery that supports 33W wired fast charging. The dimensions of the phone are 171.56 × 79.47 × 7.99mm, and it weighs 205g. As mentioned earlier, the newly launched Redmi 15C 4G has an IP64-rated design that offers protection against dust and water splashes.
