“Roy”, Vikramjit Singh's love triangle story with Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles has finally released in cinema halls across the globe and has garnered mixed reviews from the audience.
“Roy” is a story revolving round the lives of a filmmaker, a thief and their mutual love interest. The good fact of the story is Vikramjit Singh brings in a fresh tale uninspired from any other flick and delivers it with a strong cast, which everyone has been talking ever since it was planned.
Ranbir Kapoor (Roy) plays the role of a con-man, while Arjun Rampal appears as a filmmaker, Kabir Grewal . The story revolves around a hustler in Malaysia who is responsible for numerous theft activities , particularly of paintings but no one has a slightest idea about his whereabouts. Filmmaker Kabir is interested in this man’s story and wants to incorporate in his film.
Jacqueline Fernandez plays two roles, one of a discerning filmmaker Ayesha who is Kabir’s girlfriend and other of a pretty actress Tia. Jacqueline’s twin factor works with both the actors and it gels well with the screenplay too. Arjun-Jacqueline’s and Ranbir-Jacqueline’s chemistry adds more depth.
The performances are undoubtedly of top notch and neither of the three is less than the other.
In a nut shell, Vikramjit Singh’s Roy starring Arjun Rampal, Ranbir Kapoor and Jacqueline Fernandez can be a good watch, both to celebrate Valentine’s Day as well as for those who love thrill.
