Indian Friends Association (IFA), which is based in the United States, has geared up for a social gathering for promoting Indian culture in the US. Named Archana, this programme will include Indian traditional classical dance, Bharatnatyam, Punjabi Bhangra and even some Bollywood numbers. The programme is scheduled to tale place on April 27 at Fred Kavli theater, which is located in Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza in Los Angeles.
The event will kick off at 3 pm and would go on till 8 pm. This is one of its kind wherein every Indian in the US will get a feel that they are taking part in a programme back home in India, said the organizers of the event, Indian Friends Association.
Apart from dance numbers, there are also some small skits that apparently throws light on the lives of Indians in the United States of America. The special drama The Philanthropist will give deep insight as to how the thinking of the people has been changed for past few years. It projects that happiness should not have any relation to one's possessions that include car, bungalow and other luxuries.
If you are in Los Angeles, this programme should not be given a slip. For more details about the venue and event, you can call up the organizers on 805-754-9861.
