Massive search is on in Santa Clarita to locate a 54-year-old dirt biker who went missing from the area. Antonio Marquez last called his family to inform them that he was negotiating "treacherous trails" before he went missing.

Santa Clarita police Sgt. Jeff Curran said that the man is being searched by rescue teams after his family reported him to be missing around 10:30 PM on Tuesday.

The family members of Antonio last spoke to him around 6:30 p.m., reported KTLA-TV. Though the missing man had a cell phone he didn't contact his family after that.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Joshua Dubin stated that Antonio told his family that he was on treacherous trails and would get in touch with them soon. However, he didn't contact them nor did he return home.

According to Curran, the man was last seen in Rowher Flats or San Francisquito Canyon area  riding dual sport bike in red and white color.

A massive search has been launched to locate Antonio Marquez. The Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter as well as a search and rescue team have been pressed into service to find Marquez.
