This weird and unethical statement has made him center of criticism.
Seelam Veerapa Naidu, a Hyderabad-based physician had asked Ola Cabs to allow him to choose a Hindu driver.
“Being a Hindu I usually prefer Driver of Hindu Faith Only, Particularly in Hyderabad.. pls Give us a chance to Choose a Driver,” Seelam Veerapa Naidu tweeted to the Ola twitter handle.
No moment he has mentioned this on social site, twitter, he was criticized by twitterati for such decision.
“Sorry, we do not discriminate against our drivers on the basis of their religion,” the app-based cab company tweeted.
Few other cab companies have backed Ola Cab by raising question against Naidu’s discriminatory statement.
“Well said, guys. #respect,” @Uber_Delhi tweeted.
Understanding the sensitivity of the situation, Naidu defended by saying that his demand was not discriminatory and should be considered as customer choice.
“My intention is not to hurt anyone,” he tweeted later.
Coincidental, Naidu’s timeline showed his hatredness towards this cab service and supported government’s proposal on ban of Uber, Ola and other app- based service.
